My research interests are in the following: Wireless Mobility Management; Cybersecurity (Wireless or Wired Security); Internet of Things (IoT); Applications of Artificial Intelligence - Spam Detection, Intelligent Data or Text mining using machine learning, and Intrusion Detection or Response System using machine learning; Secure Electronic Voting; Image Processing; Retinal image classification, and E-learning/M-learning.

  2. Co-Supervised (2014 – 2019) the PhD student Ms Bismita Choudhury (along with supervisor Dr Patrick Then) for her thesis – “Retinal Image Analysis and Diagnosis of Retinal Blood Vascular Diseases using Deep Learning Model" in the Faculty of Engineering, Computing and Science, Swinburne University of Technology, Malaysia. 

  6. Co-Supervised (2013 – 2018) the PhD student Mr Mathew Kuruvilla (along with supervisor Dr C. E. Tan) for his thesis – “An Intelligent Wireless Communication Scheme for Remote Telemetry in Forest Terrains using a Multi-Band Network” in the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, University Malaysia Sarawak, Malaysia. 

  7. External Advisor (2013 - 2019) to the PhD student Mr Rupam Kumar Sharma (along with supervisor Dr. Hemanta Kumar Kalita) for his thesis – “Designing a Bioinspired Method of Response in Intrusion Detection System", North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), India.

  8. Supervised (2011 – 2014) the MSc (by research) student Mr Amir Mohammed Shahi (along with co-supervisor Dr Jashua Rajesh Modapothala) for his thesis – “Automatic Analysis and Scoring of Corporate Sustainability Reports - A Machine Intelligence Approach” in the Faculty of Engineering, Computing and Science, Swinburne University of Technology, Malaysia.
